Panic - Henry Shifrin

Breathe in, breath out, breath in, breath out, repeat,

Control the racing pace of my heartbeat,

My mind can hear an awful note off-key,

My thoughts are lost upon the churning sea;

I’m told as if I were still young and dumb,

Anxiety is commonplace for some,

But why of all do I sit silent,

Thinking of all I could not just confront,

Generalized Anxiety Disease,

It has no cure, no help, no fix, no freeze

My doctor says my only remedy,

Is to breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.
